Below are the Larimer County Office on Aging (LCOA) publications. This list is in alphabetical order by the title of the publication.

Larimer County Office on Aging
The Larimer County Office on Aging (LCOA) is the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Larimer County. The mission of the LCOA is to empower older adults, adults living with disabilities, and caregivers to achieve their highest quality of life. The LCOA provides real options and real answers and helps individuals in understanding their options and the programs and services that may be available to enable individuals to live as independently as possible in the community.
The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), the Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP) and the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program are housed within the LCOA.

  • The ADRC provides information & assistance, and education and decision-making support for individuals and caregivers seeking long term services and supports. The ADRC provides Options Counseling, Colorado Choice Transitions, Application Assistance, and assistance accessing the LOCA Chore Voucher Program and In-Home Services Voucher Program.
  • The FCSP provides Caregiver Consultations, Power Tools for Caregivers and connection to resources and programs in the community to support individuals caring for a family member, loved one, or friend.
  • The Long Term Care Ombudsman investigates and resolves complaints in licensed assisted living and skilled nursing home communities, mediates conflicts, and advocates for the rights and care of those individuals living in assisted living and skilled nursing home communities.

Assisted Living Facilities (Housing List)
The Office on Aging tracks the licensed and regulated assisted living communities within Larimer County. This list is updated every six months. If you need assistance finding an assisted living community, please call us at: (970) 498-7750

Community Assessment Survey for Older Adults (CASOA)
The CASOA provides a statistically valid survey of older adults in Larimer County. The objectives of the CASOA are to identify community strengths in serving older adults; articulate the specific needs of older adults in the community; estimate contributions made by older adults in the community; and determine the connection of older adults to the community. The assessment focused on a series of needs among residents age 60 or older and the community’s support that fosters successful aging.

Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
The long term care ombudsman program is housed within the Larimer County Office on Aging. The ombudsman investigates and resolves complaints and advocates for the rights and care of those individuals living in assisted living and skilled nursing home communities.
