The Advocate - 1/10/2018
Jan. 10--As part of its Christmas Wish program, Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans recently distributed gifts to people in its supported living services programs on the north shore. The gifts were distributed Dec. 13 during a party in Slidell.
The supported living services program allows people with disabilities to remain in their homes, living independently, obtaining and maintaining employment and enjoying social activities. Support is provided to elderly people and to children and adults with a variety of disabilities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
